CommonLand forms collaborations with a wide network of consultants to help clients build healthy rural communities.

We work with strategic partners such as Capital Project Consulting for construction management and owner’s representative services.

CommonLand Solutions is an approved consultant for the VT Housing & Conservation Board's Rural Economic Development Initiative, or REDI.

REDI is a program that assists rural towns and villages with populations under 5,000 by providing pre-approved consultants to secure funding and manage projects for historic preservation, downtown and village revitalization, community infrastructure, outdoor recreation, and working lands enterprises.

As a project development consultant, CommonLand leveraged REDI funding to assist with the development of the following projects:

Current Projects

Assisting three manufactured home cooperatives in Milton, Castleton, and St. George for grant/loan packaging and engineering coordination to redevelop water, wastewater, stormwater, and electrical infrastructure.

Project management services to coordinate design professionals, assemble rehab scopes, and facilitate grant funding for rehabilitation of Templewood Court, a 60-unit apartment complex for very low income seniors and people with disabilities.

Redevelopment of the historic Town Hall, which houses the Salisbury Free Public Library. Architectural services from Vermont Integrated Architecture.

Consulting services to identify and assist Strafford Community Trust - a Community Supported Enterprise (CSE) - with securing state and federal grant funds, provide guidance for compliance, and coordinate architectural and engineering scopes. Architectural services from R. Edwards & Co.

Redevelopment services for the Abenaki Nation of Missisquoi's tribal headquarters and food pantry. Architectural services from SHKS Architects.

Project and CDBG-DR grant management services for Plainfield Community Development Corporation to construct all infrastructure needed to develop new neighborhood in partnership with Central Vermont Habitat for Humanity and HONE Development Corporation. Engineering services from Engineering Ventures and VHB Landscape Architecture.
